Description

Maintain a clean, attractive, and safe environment in assigned areas by completing cleaning, transport, equipment handling, room set-up, trash removal, and linen handling. Perform general cleaning of patient rooms, offices, hallways, and other facility areas, and distribute supplies while maintaining appropriate stock levels. Adhere to all local/state/federal regulations, codes, and facility policies to ensure sanitization and safety.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize patient rooms and assigned facility areas
• Remove trash and handle linens
• Set up rooms and assist with equipment and transport tasks
• Distribute supplies to departments and maintain stock levels
• Follow cleaning procedures to maintain a sterile environment

Requirements

• HS Diploma or GED
• Department certification & licensure: valid driver’s license (Sutter Maternity & Surgery Center)
• Department certification & licensure: auto insurance (Sutter Maternity & Surgery Center)
• Knowledge of maintaining a sterile environment and proper cleaning procedures
• Ability to interpret written/oral/diagram/schedule instructions
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Time management and organizational skills to prioritize work and meet deadlines
• Ability to operate basic environmental services equipment (mechanical floor cleaners, buffers, vacuums, washers, dryers)
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, including during interruptions
