Description

Maintain a clean, attractive, and safe environment in assigned areas by performing cleaning, transport, equipment handling, room setup, trash removal, and linen handling. Distribute supplies to departments and maintain stock levels. Follow local/state/federal regulations and facility policies to ensure sanitization and safety.

Responsibilities

• Perform general cleaning tasks for patient rooms, offices, hallways, and other assigned areas
• Set up rooms and handle equipment and transport duties
• Remove trash and handle linen
• Distribute supplies and maintain adequate stock levels
• Communicate effectively with peers, supervisors, patients, and other hospital personnel
• Adhere to applicable regulations, codes, policies, and procedures

Requirements

• HS Diploma or GED
• Knowledge of maintaining a sterile environment and proper cleaning procedures
• Ability to interpret instructions from written, oral, diagram, or schedule sources
• Written and verbal communication skills
• Time management and organizational skills to prioritize assignments and meet deadlines
• Ability to operate basic environmental service equipment (mechanical floor cleaners, buffers, vacuums, washers, dryers)
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team while handling multiple tasks with interruptions
• Ability to identify and resolve standard problems using established options
