Description

Maintain a clean, attractive, and safe environment in assigned facility areas by performing cleaning, transport, equipment handling, room setup, trash removal, and linen handling. Perform general cleaning of patient rooms, offices, hallways, and other areas, and distribute supplies while maintaining stock levels. Follow local/state/federal regulations, codes, policies, and procedures to ensure sanitization and safety.

Responsibilities

• Set up rooms and handle equipment

• Remove trash and handle linens

• Transport items and complete assigned environmental tasks

• Distribute supplies to departments and maintain inventory levels

Requirements

• HS Diploma or GED

• Knowledge of maintaining a sterile environment and proper cleaning procedures

• Ability to interpret instructions provided in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form

• Written and verbal communication skills to work with team members, supervisors, patients, and other hospital personnel

• Time management and organizational skills to prioritize work and meet deadlines

• Ability to operate basic environmental services equipment (mechanical floor cleaners, buffers, vacuums, washers, dryers)

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in an environment with interruptions

• Ability to identify, evaluate, and resolve standard problems using established options
