Description

Maintain a clean, attractive, and safe healthcare environment by performing general cleaning, transport, equipment handling, room set-up, trash removal, and linen handling. Distribute supplies and keep stock levels updated while adhering to all applicable local/state/federal regulations, codes, and facility policies. Perform work with effective communication and competent job performance.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize patient rooms, offices, hallways, and other assigned facility areas
• Handle equipment and perform room set-up and general environmental cleaning tasks
• Remove trash and manage linen handling duties
• Transport items and support supply distribution to departments
• Maintain appropriate sanitization and safety standards per required procedures

Requirements

• HS Diploma or GED
• Knowledge of maintaining a sterile environment and proper cleaning procedures
• Ability to interpret instructions provided in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
• Written and verbal communication skills to coordinate with team members, supervisors, patients, and hospital personnel
• Time management and organizational skills; ability to prioritize and work within standardized policies and procedures
• Ability to operate basic environmental service equipment (mechanical floor cleaners, buffers, vacuums, washers, dryers, etc.)
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment with interruptions
• Ability to identify, evaluate, and resolve standard problems using established options
