Description

Maintain a clean, attractive, and safe healthcare environment by performing general cleaning, transport, equipment handling, room set-up, trash removal, and linen handling in assigned areas. Distribute supplies to departments, maintain stock levels, and follow regulations and facility procedures to ensure sanitization and safety. Communicate effectively with peers and supervisors and work independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Clean patient rooms, offices, hallways, and other assigned facility areas
• Perform cleaning, transport, equipment handling, room set-up, trash removal, and linen handling duties
• Distribute supplies and maintain inventory/stock levels
• Operate basic environmental services equipment as needed
• Follow all local/state/federal regulations, codes, and facility policies and procedures

Requirements

• HS Diploma or GED
• Knowledge of maintaining a sterile environment and proper cleaning procedures
• Ability to interpret instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
• Written and verbal communication skills
• Well-developed time management and organizational skills to prioritize assignments
• Ability to operate basic environmental services equipment (mechanical floor cleaners, buffers, vacuums, washers, dryers)
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively, handling interruptions and multiple tasks
• Ability to identify and resolve standard problems using established options
• Ability to build effective relationships with peers and other staff
