Description

You’ll lead critical engineering projects in an R&D domain, providing architectural direction and improving engineering craftsmanship. You’ll help evolve the product’s architecture to support rapidly growing scale of users, features, and data, working closely with Product and Design end-to-end. The role is hands-on in a CI/CD environment using modern web and cloud technologies such as Node.js, TypeScript, AWS, and messaging systems like SQS/SNS/Kafka.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership within an R&D domain and influence product architecture and engineering practices

• Evolve architecture and engineering to support increased scale

• Collaborate with a small team of developers in a CI/CD environment with cutting-edge technologies

• Take ownership from conception through post-deployment, partnering with Product and Design

• Work with the expected stack: Node.js, TypeScript, AWS, SQS/SNS/Kafka, SQL, and NoSQL (no exact-match requirement)

Requirements

• Technical leadership experience (Architect/Tech Lead or similar)

• Experience building products on the web or distributed infrastructure at large scale

• Full-stack development experience

• Strong proven technical skills and passion for building products people use daily

• Understanding of product and passion for delivering great user experiences

• Team player with strong communication and empathy
