Description

The Software Engineer (Java & .NET) enhances the IT team’s capabilities by improving operational stability and supporting business continuity for critical applications. You will own reliability and day-to-day support of assigned applications, lead incident and problem management (triage, coordination, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and prevention), and deliver maintenance and enhancements across the application lifecycle. You will also support release and deployment activities and maintain technical documentation to ensure controlled, traceable changes.

Responsibilities

• Ensure stable operations and timely service restoration for assigned applications
• Run end-to-end incident and problem management: triage, coordination, RCA, corrective actions, prevention
• Perform bug fixes, minor improvements, and refactoring aligned with business priorities
• Partner with application owners, business users, and IT teams to clarify requirements and propose pragmatic solutions
• Participate in release/deployment planning, execution, validation, and rollback readiness; ensure traceability and controlled changes
• Maintain runbooks, configuration notes, known issues, and release notes
• Support data integrity and system security with focus on cybersecurity compliance
• Take on additional applications as the portfolio evolves

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
• 5 years demonstrable experience in software engineering Java and .NET applications
• Problem-solving skills for web application troubleshooting using Angular and C#/.NET
• Solid understanding of REST API concepts and ability to troubleshoot API issues
• Experience developing, maintaining, and debugging C#/.NET applications
• Experience hosting, configuring, and troubleshooting applications on Microsoft IIS
• Ability to read and maintain VB.NET code
• Proficiency with Visual Studio 2017 or later
• Understanding of WPF/XAML structure
• Ability to edit and maintain JSON configuration files
• Experience with CI/CD and source control (e.g., GitHub)
• Strong attention to detail and adaptability
