• Role: Business Analyst (techno-functional)

Description

As a Business Analyst, you will work within an agile product development cycle, translating international banking regulations into software solutions and functional specifications. You will analyze regulatory and business requirements, perform data gap analysis, data modeling & mapping, and define business/validation rules. You will also support functional implementations, create and validate scenarios and test data, run UAT/regression testing, maintain documentation, and resolve functional tickets for customer projects.

Responsibilities

• Analyze regulations and business/client requirements from national and international banking authorities

• Translate regulations into functional specifications (Data Gap Analysis, Data Modelling & Mapping, Business/Validation rules)

• Implement functional logic using SQL (e.g., decision tables, allocation rules)

• Develop functional scenarios and test data; perform UAT and regression testing

• Work with Product Owners and Subject Matter Experts to understand product roadmaps

• Maintain detailed end-user documentation and internal technical-functional guides

• Support customer projects and resolve functional tickets

• Collaborate with national and international team members

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in a bank, financial institution, or IT firm within the banking domain

• Willingness to learn the regulatory reporting domain

• Degree in Finance, Business, Information Technology, Mathematics, Economics, or a professional accounting qualification (preferred)

• Working knowledge of SQL for data analysis and reporting

• Familiarity with Agile (Scrum/Kanban) and tools such as Jira and Confluence

• Excellent communication skills across business, compliance, and technical stakeholders

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills
