Description

Business Analyst role in the banking domain focused on regulatory reporting. You will analyze international and national banking regulations and convert them into actionable functional specifications, rules, and SQL-based implementations. You will also support testing (UAT/regression), documentation, and collaboration with Product Owners and subject matter experts in an Agile environment.

Responsibilities

• Analyze regulations and business/client requirements from banking authorities

• Translate regulations into functional specifications, including Data Gap Analysis, Data Modelling & Mapping, and Business/Validation rules

• Perform functional implementations using SQL

• Create functional scenarios and test data; conduct UAT and regression testing

• Collaborate with Product Owners and Subject Matter Experts to understand product roadmaps

• Maintain end-user documentation and technical-functional guides

• Support customer projects and resolve functional tickets

• Collaborate with national and international colleagues

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in a bank, financial institution, or IT firm within the banking domain

• Regulatory reporting experience, especially Basel III / Basel IV

• Proficiency with SQL for data analysis and reporting

• Experience defining data modelling/mapping and business/validation rules based on regulations

• Experience with UAT and regression testing

• Hands-on Agile experience in Scrum/Kanban environments using Jira and Confluence

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills

• Basic understanding of balance sheets and accounting concepts
