Description

You will administer and continuously improve the organization’s Microsoft server landscape, with a strong emphasis on Active Directory, Group Policy, Microsoft 365, and virtualization. The role includes supporting VMware vSphere and Proxmox virtual environments, executing server migrations and modernizations, and managing storage, backup, and recovery. You will also contribute to automation via scripting and help shape the IT infrastructure strategy.

Responsibilities

• Administer, configure, and develop the Microsoft server environment

• Manage and optimize VMware vSphere and Proxmox virtualization

• Independently implement server migrations, modernizations, and new software solutions

• Administer storage, backup, and recovery solutions

• Handle printer and license management and support IT resource management

• Develop scripts to automate and optimize IT processes

• Help design the IT system landscape and infrastructure strategy

Requirements

• Completed degree in IT (e.g., business informatics, computer engineering, IT management) or vocational training as an IT specialist for system integration

• Several years of experience in Windows Server administration / systems administration

• Solid knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, and Microsoft 365

• Experience with virtualization technologies (ideally VMware, Proxmox, or comparable solutions)

• Knowledge of networking concepts: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing

• Experience with backup, monitoring, and security solutions

• Structured, solution-oriented work approach

• Ability to understand technical relationships and investigate root causes

• Good German skills and ideally good English skills

• Interest in gaming or technology
