Description

You will plan, design, install, configure, and optimize the global server and storage infrastructure across on-premises and cloud environments. The role includes administering and developing the global Microsoft system landscape (including Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Entra) and operating and monitoring virtualization based on VMware ESXi clusters. You will also support IT security and handle incidents and service requests at 2nd/3rd level.

Responsibilities

• Plan, design, install, configure, and optimize global server and storage infrastructure (on-premises & cloud)

• Administer and develop global Microsoft environments, Microsoft 365, and Microsoft Entra

• Operate, monitor, and optimize VMware ESXi-based virtualization clusters

• Administer and develop NetApp storage systems including related backup solutions

• Implement, configure, and administer various server and infrastructure applications

• Ensure stable, performant, and secure IT operations and continuously optimize existing infrastructure

• Implement and further develop IT security and information security measures

• Support international IT projects with global IT teams

• Handle incidents and service requests in 2nd- and 3rd-level support

• Analyze and permanently resolve complex technical issues; ensure professional support for users

Requirements

• State-certified technician training (m/w/d) or comparable qualification (e.g., IT specialist) with several years of experience

• Strong knowledge in administration of hybrid Microsoft environments

• Practical Linux experience (advantage)

• SAP Basis administration knowledge/experience (ideal)

• Knowledge of Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Entra (advantage)

• Experience administering complex IT infrastructures

• Virtualization knowledge

• Experience using monitoring solutions (e.g., PRTG)

• Structured, independent, solution-oriented working style and strong problem-solving skills

• Analytical and conceptual thinking, strong teamwork, and communication skills

• Very good German and good English
