Description

Administer and continuously improve the Windows Server and virtualization environment (including enterprise storage), Microsoft 365 services, and the network/security stack. Use Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID administration with PowerShell automation, provide 1st/2nd-level IT support across multiple locations, and coordinate external IT service providers. Occasional on-site visits may be required when remote solutions are not feasible.

Responsibilities

• Administer and develop the Windows Server environment (Windows Server 2022/2025, Hyper-V), including central enterprise storage

• Manage Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID (group policies, permission concepts, PowerShell automation)

• Operate Microsoft 365 (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, Intune, Entra ID Connect)

• Administer network infrastructure: firewall, routing, VLANs, SSL-VPN, WLAN

• Run backup solutions and monitoring; maintain IT documentation

• Provide 1st- and 2nd-level support for employees at multiple sites

• Perform occasional site visits during commuting range if remote solutions are not possible

• Coordinate and supervise external IT service providers

• Work closely with internal application development to implement technical requirements

• Contribute to planning and implementation of IT projects and continuous system landscape improvement

Requirements

• Completed training as IT specialist for system integration or comparable qualification (career changers welcome with proven hands-on experience)

• Several years of experience in Windows Server and network administration

• Mandatory skills: Windows Server/Hyper-V, Active Directory/Microsoft Entra ID, PowerShell, Microsoft 365, TCP/IP networks, firewall administration, backup solutions

• Desired: Intune/MDM, Teams phone/SBC, vulnerability management, network certifications (e.g., CCNA), AI-enabled tools (Microsoft Copilot)

• Solution-oriented and structured working style with a desire to co-design

• Service orientation and strong communication with non-technical colleagues

• Very good German (at least C1)

• Driving license class B
