Description

You will manage and optimize a hybrid data center and network operations environment, spanning on-premises VMware and SAP through Azure Cloud and Microsoft 365. The role focuses on hardening global systems, administering firewall and backup concepts, and setting up security standards to protect IT and production. You will also lead business-critical IT projects, including conception and implementation of regulatory requirements such as NIS-2.

Responsibilities

• Steer and optimize hybrid data center and network operations, from local VMware and the SAP landscape to Azure Cloud and Office 365
• Harden global systems; manage firewall and backup concepts; establish security standards to protect IT and production
• Secure and optimize IT infrastructure in the OT/shopfloor environment and ensure reliable networking of the machine landscape
• Lead business-critical IT projects, including the design and implementation of regulatory requirements such as NIS-2

Requirements

• Multi-year experience as an IT systems administrator, systems engineer, network administrator, or IT specialist for systems integration
• Solid knowledge of VMware, Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, and network/firewall/backup/security technologies
• Experience operating SAP system landscapes
