Description

You will administer and maintain server environments including Linux and Windows Server, manage database servers (MS SQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL), and support virtual and containerized platforms. The role also includes basic TCP/IP LAN/WAN network administration, handling backup and disaster recovery, participating in system rollouts and updates, and supporting other teams with the assigned systems. Work follows IT security policies and guidelines defined for insurers.

Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain server systems (Linux, Windows Server)
• Manage database servers (MS SQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL)
• Administer virtual environments and containerization platforms
• Provide basic TCP/IP network administration (LAN/WAN)
• Operate backup systems and disaster recovery processes
• Participate in system implementations and updates
• Follow IT security policy requirements
• Perform tasks according to IT guidelines for insurance use
• Support other teams regarding assigned systems and infrastructure

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Systems Administrator
• Practical knowledge and experience with VMware virtual environments
• Practical knowledge of Windows Server and Linux
• Practical knowledge of LAN/WAN network operation
• Basic ability to manage Docker and Kubernetes
• Ability to administer Oracle, Postgres, and MS SQL databases
• Proficiency with backup/restore/recovery tools (including command line)
• Data import/export using database tools
• User permissions management
• Basic database diagnostics
• Ability to write SQL queries for administration
• Independence and ability to set priorities
• Ability to read technical documentation and analyze logs
• Communication skills (clear thinking formulation and active listening)
• Assertiveness and responsibility for decisions
• Willingness to respond actively in emergency situations
• Willingness to develop and share knowledge
• Good command of English for technical documentation and research
• Driver’s license category B
• Minimum secondary education (preferred: technical higher education)
