Description

Own the stable, secure, and audit-ready operation of a central, cross-site IT infrastructure and continuously evolve it with sustainable improvements. You will be a technical point of contact, translating business needs into secure and cost-effective IT solutions while also leading and supporting infrastructure and modernization projects.

Responsibilities

• Ensure stable, secure, and audit-capable operation of the central IT infrastructure
• Administer and further develop Windows Server, Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Intune, and hybrid cloud environments
• Operate and optimize virtualization, network, firewalls, storage, and backup/recovery solutions
• Plan and implement cross-site infrastructure and modernization projects
• Capture, structure, and evaluate technical requirements from business teams
• Advise internal customers and convert business requirements into safe, economical, and sustainable IT solutions
• Analyze and permanently resolve complex incidents in 2nd and 3rd level support
• Contribute to IT security, standardization, automation, and business continuity initiatives
• Manage external service providers and track deliverables, quality, and agreed outcomes
• Create and maintain technical documentation, operational standards, and decision templates

Requirements

• Completed IT training, IT-focused degree, or comparable qualification
• Several years of relevant experience in IT infrastructure, system administration, or IT operations
• Hands-on experience in multiple of the listed technology and operations areas
• Experience in IT projects; independent steering of sub-projects is a plus
• Solid understanding of IT security, system stability, documentation, and structured operations
• Confident, reliable communication with business stakeholders, management, and external partners
• Experience with requirements management and strong service/customer orientation
• Structured, independent, and solution-oriented work with clear prioritization
• German at native/near-native level and English at least B2
• Willingness to travel occasionally to company sites for projects or operational topics
