Description

As an IT Manager, you are responsible for site-specific and European IT activities and ensure alignment with global IT strategy, standards, and cybersecurity requirements. You serve as the central IT contact and business partner for the local leadership, coordinating IT initiatives between local operations, Group IT, service providers, and business units. You lead IT projects from initiation to go-live, including ERP expansion, manufacturing system integration, and infrastructure modernization.

Responsibilities

  • Own local and European IT activities and align them with global IT strategy, standards, and cybersecurity requirements

  • Act as central IT interface and business partner between local operations and Group IT

  • Initiate, lead, and coordinate site-based IT projects through implementation; drive strategic programs (ERP extensions, manufacturing system integration, infrastructure modernization)

  • Support ERP and enterprise system improvements; ensure standardized and consistent system usage

  • Serve as local escalation point for ERP integrations, reporting solutions, EDI processes, and manufacturing system connectivity

  • Ensure compliance with local and global IT governance and compliance directives; implement Group policies, cybersecurity standards, and change-management processes; support audits and risk management

  • Manage stable and secure operations of manufacturing and business systems; own infrastructure upgrades, budgeting, cost optimization, and SLA/service-provider contracts

  • Lead, develop, and manage the local expert team; steer cross-site project teams

Requirements

  • Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent qualification

  • Long-term IT professional experience, including leading IT and project teams

  • In-depth knowledge of ERP platforms for manufacturing plus IT governance, cybersecurity, infrastructure, and business applications

  • Strong stakeholder management and clear, effective communication with executive leadership and business departments

  • Fluent in German and English; comfortable working in an international environment
