Description

In this role, you will identify, evaluate, and develop new business opportunities in data center components—especially enterprise HDDs/SSDs, server CPUs, GPUs, storage solutions, and complementary infrastructure components. You will create and execute a go-to-market strategy for new customer segments (e.g., system houses, managed service providers, VARs, cloud/hosting providers, AI/HPC-oriented customers, and data center operators). You will also build relationships across manufacturers, resellers, and integrators, analyze market trends, and manage pipeline/forecast/prospect tracking in CRM.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, assess, and develop new data center component business opportunities
  • Build and implement go-to-market strategy for new customer segments
  • Acquire new customers and develop strategic target accounts with high growth potential
  • Collaborate with product management, marketing, sales, and manufacturers to develop value propositions, solution offerings, and campaigns
  • Build durable relationships with manufacturers, resellers, integrators, and key decision-makers in the data center ecosystem
  • Analyze market trends, customer needs, competitor activities, and technological developments
  • Manage and track pipeline, forecast, deal opportunities, and sales activities in CRM

Requirements

  • Technical or business-oriented degree, technical training with relevant further education, or comparable qualification
  • 5+ years of experience in business development, technical sales, product management, category management, or vendor management in the IT industry
  • Solid technical understanding of data center components (servers, storage, HDD/SSD, CPU, GPU, networking, infrastructure)
  • Strong market/industry knowledge in data centers, cloud, AI, enterprise IT, system integration, or IT distribution
  • Proven track record in identifying and developing new business areas, target customers, and partner ecosystems
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to translate market potential into sales initiatives and measurable results
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills in German and English
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, strong self-driven initiative, networking strength, and enjoyment in building new structures
  • International/intercultural experience is a plus
