• Location: Hannover (hybrid work; occasional travel to European sites)

Description

You will lead and operate the migration of on-premises infrastructure to the Azure/Microsoft 365 cloud. You will own the Entra ID lifecycle and optimize identity and security, including Active Directory redesign and hardening aligned with ISO 27001 and BSI IT-Grundschutz. You will also support virtualization, backup strategies, and ensure reliable operation of SAN/NAS storage while providing technical guidance for secure OT/Smart Factory connectivity.

Responsibilities

• Steer and implement the stepwise migration of on-premises infrastructure to Azure/M365

• Design target architectures together with the Senior Cloud Solution Engineer and implement them hands-on

• Own the Entra ID lifecycle and drive ongoing optimization

• Redesign and harden Active Directory according to modern security standards (ISO 27001, BSI IT-Grundschutz)

• Implement IT security concepts and establish modern cloud security suites

• Operate server virtualization environments

• Develop backup strategies and ensure smooth operation of SAN/NAS storage solutions

• Provide technical guidance for local plants as part of the global IT hub (including secure OT/Smart Factory network connectivity)

• Lead international IT infrastructure projects

Requirements

• Multi-year, solid experience with hybrid IT infrastructures and Azure cloud migrations

• Deep practical knowledge of the Microsoft ecosystem (Azure Compute/Network/Storage, Entra ID, Intune, Microsoft 365)

• Infrastructure-as-Code knowledge (e.g., Terraform) is beneficial

• Solution-oriented, team-focused mindset with proactive innovation and best-practice development

• Confident communication in German and English, including in complex international migration projects

• Project management experience is an advantage
