  • Security: TS/SCI with polygraph clearance required (US Citizenship; clearance sponsorship provided)

Description

Lead a hands-on engineering leader role responsible for strategy and execution across a classified cloud development environment, hybrid lab/cloud device test infrastructure, and device management software for government-facing security devices on AWS. You will define the team’s vision, set goals tied to customer needs, and build infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD, and automation so teams can reliably develop, test, integrate, and ship certified production hardware. Success is measured by speed and reliability of end-to-end build, test, and delivery across hardware, FPGA, firmware, and software.

Responsibilities

  • Build and operate a classified cloud development environment for cleared engineers, from authorization (IATT/ATO) through operational development.
  • Establish infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD, and automation to make the environment reproducible, auditable, and fast.
  • Own availability, access control, and configuration management for the classified development environment.
  • Design, build, and operate high-speed device test infrastructure spanning physical lab benches and cloud-based tooling.
  • Build hardware-in-the-loop (HITL) test benches and automated test frameworks.
  • Provide automated verification coverage and continuous testing for hardware, FPGA, and firmware.
  • Own lab infrastructure, test instrumentation, and cloud tooling that aggregates, analyzes, and reports test results.
  • Design and build device management software and engineering tools to provision, configure, monitor, and operate devices.
  • Own the lifecycle of device management and engineering tooling through production deployment.
  • Build internal automation and tooling to accelerate cross-discipline teams.
  • Partner with firmware and systems teams on device interfaces, telemetry, and operational workflows.
  • Lead model-based systems engineering tooling development.
  • Manage and grow a multidisciplinary team; hire, develop, mentor senior contributors, and establish engineering best practices and delivery/reliability/security standards.
  • Collaborate across hardware, FPGA, firmware, software, systems engineering, security/compliance, and program management to align milestones and navigate ATO/certification evidence.
  • Represent the team’s roadmap and technical direction to senior leadership.

Requirements

  • US Citizenship; ability to obtain and maintain TS/SCI with polygraph clearance.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field.
  • 7+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures.
  • 3+ years of managing network, systems, or software development teams.
  • Experience with Cloud Architecture, Network Engineering, Systems Design, Software Development, Infrastructure Architecture, Data Engineering, or DevOps.
  • Experience designing and building test infrastructure and automation (including hardware-in-the-loop).
  • Experience delivering tools used by other engineering teams (device management, tooling, or platforms).

Benefits

  • Comprehensive health insurance (medical, dental, vision, prescription) and life insurance options.
  • EAP and mental health support; medical advice line.
  • Flexible Spending Accounts; adoption and surrogacy reimbursement.
  • 401(k) matching.
  • Paid time off and parental leave.
  • Base salary range (varies by location): 175,100–236,900 USD annually, plus sign-on payments and RSUs.
