Description

Lead a hands-on engineering team building and operating a classified cloud development environment, hybrid lab/cloud device test infrastructure, and device management software for high-assurance security devices. Own infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD, and automation that make the environment reproducible, auditable, and fast. Partner across hardware, FPGA, firmware, software, systems engineering, and security/compliance to deliver certified production hardware reliably and securely.

Responsibilities

• Classified Cloud Development Environment (CDE)

  • Build and operate the classified cloud development environment for cleared engineers
  • Drive the environment from authorization (IATT/ATO) through full operational development
  • Establish infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD, and automation for reproducibility, auditability, and speed
  • Own availability, access control, and configuration management for the classified development environment

• Device Test Infrastructure (Hybrid Lab + Cloud)

  • Design, build, and operate high-speed device test infrastructure across physical lab benches and cloud tooling
  • Build HITL test benches and automated test frameworks
  • Establish automated verification coverage and continuous test for hardware, FPGA, and firmware
  • Own lab infrastructure, test instrumentation, and cloud tooling for aggregating/analyzing/reporting test results

• Device Management Software & Engineering Tools

  • Design and build device management software/tools for provisioning, configuration, monitoring, and operation
  • Own the lifecycle of device management and engineering tooling from architecture through production deployment
  • Build automation and internal tooling to accelerate cross-discipline teams
  • Partner with firmware and systems teams on device interfaces, telemetry, and operational workflows
  • Lead model-based systems engineering tooling development

• Team Leadership & Development

  • Manage and grow a multidisciplinary team spanning CDE, test infrastructure, and device management tooling
  • Hire, develop, and retain top engineering talent; mentor senior contributors
  • Set goals, remove obstacles, and drive high standards for delivery, reliability, and security
  • Establish best practices, review cadences, and development lifecycle processes

• Cross-Organization Collaboration

  • Collaborate with hardware/FPGA/firmware/software/systems engineering to deliver required environments/tools
  • Work with security/compliance on classified authorization and certification evidence
  • Coordinate with program management to align milestones with delivery schedules
  • Influence technical direction, investment priorities, and trade-offs; represent roadmap to senior leadership

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field
• 3+ years managing system or software development teams
• 7+ years design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructure
• Experience with cloud architecture, systems design, software development, infrastructure architecture, data engineering, or DevOps
• Experience designing and building test infrastructure and automation (including hardware-in-the-loop)
• Experience delivering software tools used by other engineering teams (device management, tooling, or platforms)
• Current, active US Government Security Clearance of Top Secret with SCI eligibility or above
• Ability to obtain and maintain TS/SCI clearance with polygraph or commensurate clearance after start
