Description

AWS Security Hub is looking for a Software Development Manager to lead its frontend team, building a new agentic, AI-centered web app and an MCP app that brings Security Hub into customers’ AI workflows. You will own delivery, quality, and the roadmap for the frontend portfolio across Security Hub and multiple AWS security services, partnering with product, design, and backend teams on architecture and API contracts. You will also drive hiring, growth, and AI-native development practices, and ensure production operational excellence for console surfaces.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Own delivery, quality, and roadmap for the frontend team’s portfolio (agentic web app, MCP app, and console experiences across Security Hub and other security services)

  • Hire, onboard, and grow frontend engineers across experience levels

  • Develop engineers through deliberate project assignments, including emerging AI areas

  • Partner with principal/senior engineers on technical direction (architecture, frameworks, AI integration strategy)

  • Collaborate with product, design, and backend to align API contracts and build sequencing across multiple services

  • Champion AI-native development using LLMs and AI tooling to ship faster without quality loss

  • Ensure production operational excellence (availability, performance, accessibility, on-call health, launch readiness)

  • Represent plans and results to senior leadership and protect team focus and work-life balance

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field

  • 3+ years of engineering team management experience

  • 5+ years of engineering experience

  • Experience building web applications with React and modern web technologies

  • 3+ years designing or architecting new and existing systems (design patterns, reliability, scaling)

  • 5+ years of Software Engineer/Software Developer or related experience

  • Knowledge of engineering practices across the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle (standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, certification, live site operations)

  • Experience partnering with product or program management teams
