Description

Work on AWS Amplify to build tools and services that help front-end web and mobile developers create, deploy, and manage scalable full-stack applications powered by AWS. Collaborate with product and other AWS teams to deliver the team’s technical vision, influence technical strategy, and lead architecture discussions and core feature launches. Participate across the full software development lifecycle and mentor junior engineers.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with product and AWS teams to deliver the technical vision

• Influence technical strategy

• Lead discussions on system architecture and component design

• Drive development and launch of core features and products

• Participate in design and development of significant new architectures and features

• Support estimation and sprint planning

• Mentor junior team members

• Participate in interviews and help hire team talent

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional (non-internship) software development experience

• 2+ years designing/architecting new and existing systems (design patterns, reliability, scaling)

• 1+ year software development engineer or related experience

• 1+ year designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded or distributed software applications/tools/systems/services using C#, C++, Java, or Perl

• 1+ year Object Oriented Design experience

• Bachelor’s degree (Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related) or foreign equivalent

• Experience programming with at least one software programming language

Preferred Qualifications

• 3+ years across the full software development life cycle (coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, operations)
