Description

You will design the architecture for new and evolving banking transaction systems, define integration architecture between internal banking systems and external partners, and modernize existing solutions. The role includes designing secure integration patterns (APIs, synchronous/asynchronous communication), defining security and IAM standards, and collaborating with development teams on key technology decisions. You will also evaluate and architect the safe use of AI/Generative AI components, including enterprise integration of AI capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Design architecture for new and evolving transaction systems
• Define integration architecture between banking and external systems
• Optimize and modernize existing system architecture
• Design integration solutions, APIs, and synchronous/asynchronous communication
• Define standards for security, authorization, IAM, and system integrations
• Partner with developer teams on critical technical decisions
• Analyze opportunities for AI and Generative AI in current and planned solutions
• Design secure and scalable ways to integrate AI components with enterprise systems
• Ensure architectural consistency, technical quality, and compliance with organizational standards
• Prepare architectural documentation and present technical recommendations to stakeholders
• Support sales discussions by reviewing technical documentation from a technical perspective

Requirements

• Minimum 10 years software development experience, including experience as Software Architect / Solution Architect / IT Architect (or similar)
• Practical experience designing, implementing, and developing transaction systems in banking
• Experience integrating banking-specific systems (e.g., SAP)
• Strong knowledge of IAM, SSO, and RBAC
• Experience with payment systems and interbank integrations
• Familiarity with SWIFT MX/MT communication standards
• Experience related to AML solutions
• Expert-level programming knowledge (e.g., Java)
• Practical experience in distributed systems, microservices, and modular architecture
• Experience designing and implementing REST APIs
• Experience integrating with SOAP and XML
• Experience with asynchronous communication/event processing platforms (Kafka, RabbitMQ)
• Very good relational database knowledge, especially PostgreSQL
• Experience with S3-compatible object storage
• Practical experience with containerization and container-based environments
• Knowledge of CI/CD processes and tools
• Very good knowledge of design and architectural patterns
• Ability to design for scalability, high availability, security, reliability, and performance
• Experience analyzing and optimizing existing system architectures (constraints, performance issues, technical debt, modernization options)
• Experience designing solutions using AI (AI/ML or Generative AI) in enterprise systems
• Ability to assess AI feasibility from architecture, security, integration, scalability, and cost perspectives
• Experience preparing architectural documentation and defining technical standards
• Ability to present and justify technical decisions to developers, business, security, and infrastructure teams
