Description

You will design end-to-end, scalable and secure architectures for eCommerce, marketplaces, and digital platforms, covering application, integration, data, and infrastructure layers. You will translate business needs into composable commerce, headless, API-first, event-driven and microservices solutions, including integrations with ERP, OMS, PIM, WMS, CRM, CDP, payment, and logistics systems. You’ll collaborate with Delivery, Product, Development and DevOps teams, lead architecture/discovery workshops, and support presales solution concepts and estimates.

Responsibilities

• Design comprehensive eCommerce/Marketplace/digital platform architecture (application, integration, data, infrastructure)

• Analyze business requirements and turn them into scalable, secure, efficient technology solutions

• Select platforms, technologies, and architectural patterns that fit business and organizational needs

• Plan composable commerce, headless, API-first, event-driven and microservices architectures

• Architect integrations between sales platforms and ERP/OMS/PIM/WMS/CRM/CDP plus payment and logistics solutions

• Define architectural standards and non-functional requirements; design security, performance, scalability, and reliability strategies

• Partner with Delivery/Product/Development/DevOps teams during planning and delivery

• Run architecture and discovery workshops; prepare architecture documentation and technology recommendations

• Act as technical project lead, influence key decisions, and ensure delivery aligns with the agreed architecture

• Identify technical risks, propose mitigation actions, and support strategic technology decision-making

• Support presales: create solution concepts, estimations, and proposals

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Solution Architect, Technical Architect, or Senior Developer with responsibility for eCommerce system architecture

• Hands-on experience implementing B2C, B2B, D2C, or marketplace eCommerce solutions; understanding of sales, logistics, and customer service processes

• Capability to design composable commerce, headless, API-first and microservices architectures

• eCommerce platform experience; Commercetools or VTEX is a plus (also valued: Magento, Shopware, Sylius and similar platforms)

• Integration architecture experience connecting sales platforms with ERP, OMS, PIM, WMS, CRM, CDP plus payment and logistics solutions

• Practical API design experience (REST, GraphQL, event-driven architecture, async communication)

• Experience designing cloud and infrastructure solutions (Kubernetes, containerization, CI/CD, monitoring, security, high availability, scalability)

• Knowledge of performance, caching (CDN, Redis, Varnish, HTTP Cache), observability, and web application optimization

• Knowledge of relational and non-relational databases with informed architectural decisions on data storage and processing

• Experience with modern frontend technologies and headless architecture (React, Next.js, Vue, Nuxt)

• Ability to lead architecture/discovery workshops and communicate technical decisions between business and engineering teams

• Leadership skills to influence technical direction and drive implementation aligned with the architecture
