Description

Design and evolve technical architecture for a complex digital platform in the financial/banking sector. Translate business needs, customer requirements, and regulatory requirements into solution design, technical architecture, and estimates, then architecturally guide implementation by development teams. Work in an enterprise environment with a controlled and documented SDLC, influencing the platform’s architecture direction while managing multiple initiatives in parallel.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop architecture for complex software solutions

• Analyze business needs, new functionalities, and customer/regulatory requirements

• Translate requirements into solution design, technical architecture, and estimation

• Ensure new solutions fit into an existing, complex ecosystem

• Design integrations across multiple systems and applications

• Collaborate with development teams and support implementation

• Recommend technology decisions; identify technical risks, performance and scalability issues

• Prepare and maintain architectural documentation, diagrams, and design materials

• Work with clients, Project Managers, Business Analysts, developers, and other stakeholders

• Lead several architectural initiatives at different stages (typically 1–4) from analysis/design to implementation support

Requirements

• Minimum 10 years of experience in software development, system architecture and/or solution design

• Experience designing complex enterprise solutions

• Very strong system architecture and integration knowledge, including integration patterns

• Practical experience with .NET/C#, Azure, and SQL Server (or similar enterprise environment)

• Messaging and systems integration experience (e.g., IBM MQ, Kafka or similar)

• Experience with microservices and distributed systems

• Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions

• Experience collaborating with development teams and technically guiding them

• Very good communication skills with non-technical stakeholders

• Analytical mindset and ability to solve complex problems

Nice to Have

• Experience in banking/finance or other regulated environments

• Knowledge of IBM Mainframe / IBM Integration Bus

• Experience with cloud architecture and hybrid environments

• Knowledge of regulated SDLC processes and requirements

• Experience in on-premise to cloud migration or architecture modernization
