Description

Manage and maintain Check Point NGFW firewalls and other network security tools, including access rules, NAT, S2S and Remote Access VPN, and traffic inspection. Handle operational incidents and analyze logs in close collaboration with colleagues and vendors to ensure SLA-based support. Support security audits, continuity testing, and the development of the security architecture while keeping technical documentation up to date.

Responsibilities

• Administer next-generation firewalling (NGFW) Check Point: access rules, NAT, S2S and Remote Access VPN, traffic inspection, regular checks and maintenance
• Resolve operational incidents; analyze logs and network traffic
• Collaborate with colleagues and suppliers to ensure operational support and SLA compliance
• Administer additional security tools (endpoint protection and antivirus programs, tools for centralized log collection and network traffic inspection)
• Participate in audits, service windows, continuity testing, and security architecture development
• Maintain technical documentation
• Monthly passive standby week in a 24/7 mode (extra allowance)

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of computer networks and network protocols: TCP/IP, VPN, NAT, firewalling, routing
• Knowledge and experience in firewall management
• Ability to analyze and resolve complex issues; propose and implement solutions and corrective measures
• Time flexibility
• Independence, responsibility, attention to detail, and team spirit
• Excellent Czech language skills for everyday and formal/professional communication
• English knowledge at least for reading documentation and operating systems
• Secondary education with maturita
