Description

You will design, configure, and maintain customer network infrastructure—from network topology planning to deployment. The role includes router/switch configuration, routing/NAT/firewall setup, VPN (IPsec/WireGuard) management, physical installation on customer sites, and troubleshooting. Part-time focuses purely on networking; full-time may add related responsibilities based on your background (e.g., corporate hardware management, DevOps work, or Python programming).

Responsibilities

• Design and implement network topology according to customer requirements (from concept to deployment)
• Communicate with customers: present proposals and align on network specifications
• Configure and manage routers, switches, and other network components
• Design and configure routing, NAT, firewall rules, and inter-network access
• Deploy and manage VPN technologies (IPsec/WireGuard) for secure connections to locations across the Czech Republic
• Physically deploy network infrastructure at sites (cabling, crimping, installing elements)
• Diagnose network issues and resolve operational incidents
• Automate recurring configurations and monitoring
• Create and update network documentation

Requirements

• Knowledge of network principles (IPv4 addressing, subnetting, routing, DNS, DHCP)
• Experience with switching, VLAN, static routing, and firewall configuration
• Knowledge of VPN technologies, especially IPsec and WireGuard
• Knowledge of NAT, including SNAT, DNAT, and port forwarding
• Experience with securing network elements, access management, and limiting communication between networks
• Confidence working with the Linux command line; familiarity with PuTTY and WinSCP and basic network diagnostic tools
• Ability to diagnose connectivity, routing, DNS, firewall, and VPN problems
• Ability to design and implement network solutions based on customer requirements
• Practical experience with physical deployment (cabling, crimping, installing elements) at customer locations
• Willingness to travel around the Czech Republic and a valid B driving license
