Lead the architecture and development of complex, high-impact software systems. Responsibilities

  • Design and implement scalable, high-quality software solutions for complex business and technical requirements
  • Drive technical architecture and design decisions across multiple systems
  • Define technical requirements, tradeoffs, and implementation approaches with cross-functional partners
  • Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code and reinforce engineering best practices
  • Conduct code and design reviews, providing actionable guidance
  • Troubleshoot complex issues using root-cause analysis and systematic problem solving
  • Optimize application performance, reliability, scalability, and maintainability
  • Maintain technical documentation, architectural patterns, and reusable engineering standards
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend approaches that improve quality, efficiency, or scalability
  • Mentor engineers and strengthen team engineering capabilities

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional software engineering experience using frameworks such as Ruby on Rails, PHP, Python, or JavaScript
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Computer Engineering or equivalent work experience
  • Experience building web applications and working with CMS platforms such as WordPress, Strapi, or Contentful
  • Strong understanding of designing/building/consuming REST APIs
  • Strong proficiency with version control and collaborative workflows (e.g., Git)
  • Knowledge of performance optimization, caching, and content delivery networks (CDNs)
  • Experience with performance tuning, memory optimization, and diagnostic tools
  • Strong proficiency with CI/CD practices
  • Strong understanding of software architecture, system design, scalability, and reliability principles
  • Proven experience improving team efficiency or output quality using AI tools and automation
