Description

Build production-ready, scalable software for data-intensive and event-driven systems. Write clean, concise, stable, extensible, unit-tested code; handle edge cases and scalability; and lead initiatives from design through deployment.

Responsibilities

• Write clean, concise, stable, extensible code with appropriate unit tests

• Implement requirements in an Agile delivery methodology following established architectural principles

• Anticipate edge cases and account for scalability

• Diagnose complex issues and recommend/execute the best solution

• Lead initiatives end to end (design, planning, implementation, deployment) with cross-functional alignment

• Test software to ensure proper execution and adherence to business/technical requirements

• Contribute to product architecture and design; collaborate on problem-solving

• Develop expertise in AWS products and technologies

Requirements

• 7+ years of professional software development experience

• Proven experience building data-intensive systems at scale

• Experience with Python

• Experience with event-driven architectures and asynchronous message processing

• Experience with distributed data processing technologies like Kafka

• Solid understanding of software design principles, concurrency, synchronization, memory management, data structures, and algorithms

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or relevant experience
