Description

You will own how the team finds threats by building detection logic, the telemetry it runs on, and the pipeline that ships detections. Detections are implemented as code, tested against real and synthetic attacker behavior, reviewed in pull requests, and deployed through CI/CD for fast, high-signal visibility. You will partner with incident responders, infrastructure, and product teams to improve coverage, alert quality, and responder context.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain high-fidelity detections across AWS/GCP cloud infrastructure, identity providers (e.g., Okta), SaaS environments, endpoints, and the software supply chain
• Own the detection-as-code pipeline in Panther (rule structure, unit and integration tests, review standards, CI/CD deployment)
• Map and close coverage gaps against MITRE ATT&CK and the environment threat model, prioritizing techniques most likely to target a SaaS company
• Onboard and normalize new telemetry sources so logs exist, are complete, and are queryable
• Measure and improve alert quality (precision, time-to-triage, false-positive rates); tune or retire detections that don’t perform well
• Validate detections against real attacker behavior using purple-team exercises, atomic tests, and emulation; feed findings back into rule development
• Turn incidents and threat intelligence into detections, partnering with incident responders to operationalize lessons learned and emerging TTPs
• Build enrichment and automation in a SOAR platform so alerts arrive with the context responders need

Salary

Estimated base salary range: 40,000–45,000 PLN gross per month (subject to taxes/deductions and objective interview assessment). Actual base salary may vary based on market and individual qualifications; compensation may also include equity and other components.
