Description

You will create platform and backend solutions from early stages—problem identification, literature/standards analysis, prototyping, tests, validation, and results documentation. You will translate business and research assumptions into working system components, APIs, integrations, and technical architectures for prototypes. Collaboration includes aligning data models, permissions, logging, and reporting with AI, data, frontend, and security experts.

Responsibilities

• Design application, API, backend, and integration architecture

• Collect business requirements and translate them into system architecture

• Convert business and research assumptions into implementable system components

• Select technologies for prototypes and test environments

• Lead technical backend work

• Define data model, permissions, logging, and reporting approach

• Establish code, testing, and technical documentation standards

• Collaborate with AI, data, frontend, and security team members

Requirements

• Higher education

• Minimum 2 years of experience

• Experience building web applications, backend systems, or data platforms

• Knowledge of APIs, databases, data modeling, and integrations

• Ability to work with incomplete and changing requirements after testing and validation

• Experience leading technical work for a module or small team

• Ability to document architectural decisions well
