• Role: Senior Software Engineer (founding-engineer seat)

Description

You will build security automation products powered by AI agents, taking prototypes all the way into production while owning the difficult parts. The role is end-to-end and high-impact: translate real user needs into technical work, contribute to architecture and design decisions, and occasionally join enterprise customer calls. You’ll also scale distributed, high-performance scanning systems on AWS and Kubernetes and improve scalability, stability, and observability.

Responsibilities

• Build prototypes and ship them into production; own complex implementation details
• Gather requirements through direct conversations with founders and the tech team
• Drive product direction based on what users need
• Own a product area end-to-end, from idea to shipped feature
• Design, build, and test new features with other teams
• Develop on the core platform: Next.js, React, TypeScript, Tailwind CSS, Shadcn
• Build and scale distributed scanning systems on AWS and Kubernetes
• Advance security automation and defend engineering tradeoffs
• Occasionally provide technical input during customer calls
• Optimize services for scalability, stability, and observability as usage grows
• Help define long-term engineering processes and practices

Requirements

• 6+ years of professional software development, mostly full-stack
• Strong comfort with TypeScript/JavaScript, React, Node.js, and REST APIs
• Hands-on microservices experience
• Practical experience with AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes
• Experience with Git-based workflows (PRs, code review)
• Built user-facing products beyond demos
• Self-directed problem solving without waiting for detailed specs
• Ability to challenge and be challenged on technical ideas
• Comfort working with LLMs in production
• Comfort advising founders on what should (or shouldn’t) be built, with reasoning
• Computer Science degree (or equivalent experience)
