Description

You will administer and operate the Microsoft Power BI Service—from capacities and gateways to workspaces. You will configure and monitor on-premises data gateways for secure connections, enforce governance for workspace and permission structures, and support report authors with technical questions, error analysis, and troubleshooting. You will also track capacity, performance, and usage and derive optimization measures, working closely with the BI team and business departments to further develop Power BI as a self-service analytics platform.

Responsibilities

• Administer and operate the Power BI Service environment (capacities, gateways, workspaces)

• Configure and monitor on-premises data gateways for secure access to internal data sources

• Apply governance rules to ensure a clear workspace and permissions structure

• Support report creators with technical questions and troubleshooting (error analysis and fixes)

• Monitor capacity, performance, and platform usage; initiate optimization measures

• Work with the BI team and business areas to advance Power BI as a modern self-service platform

Requirements

• Completed IT-focused training (e.g., IT specialist for system integration) or comparable qualification

• Initial practical experience with Microsoft Power BI, ideally Power BI Service administration

• Basic knowledge of Microsoft 365 administration and Entra ID

• Understanding of data sources, gateways, and network fundamentals

• Structured, independent, solution-oriented working style

• Fluent German (at least B2) and good English skills (verbal and written)

• Regular on-site work in Stuhr near Bremen and appreciation for in-person team collaboration
