• Role: Power BI IT Administrator

Description

You will administer and operate the organization’s Microsoft Power BI Service environment, from capacities and gateways to workspaces. You will configure and monitor on-premises data gateways for secure access to internal data sources, implement governance rules, and ensure a clean workspace and permissions structure. You will also support report creators with technical questions and troubleshooting, while monitoring performance and usage to derive optimization measures.

Responsibilities

• Administer and operate Power BI Service (capacities, gateways, workspaces)
• Configure and monitor on-premises data gateways for secure connections to internal data sources
• Implement governance policies and maintain proper workspace and permission structures
• Support report authors with technical questions and error analysis/troubleshooting
• Monitor capacities, performance, and platform utilization and propose optimization actions
• Collaborate closely with the BI team and business departments to further develop Power BI as a modern self-service platform

Requirements

• Completed IT education (e.g., Fachinformatiker Systemintegration) or equivalent qualification
• First practical experience with Microsoft Power BI, ideally Power BI Service administration
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft 365 administration and Entra ID
• Understanding of data sources, gateways, and networking fundamentals
• Structured, independent, and solution-oriented working style
• Comfort solving technical challenges independently
• Appreciation for collaboration and willingness to work regularly on-site in Stuhr near Bremen
• Fluent German (at least B2) required
• Good English skills (verbal and written)
