Description

You will administer and operate the Power BI Service environment—from capacities and gateways to workspaces. You will configure and monitor on-premises data gateways for secure connections to internal data sources, implement governance rules for a clear workspace and permission structure, and support report creators with technical questions and troubleshooting. You will track capacity, performance, and platform usage and help drive optimization, working closely with the BI team and business areas to further develop Power BI as a modern self-service platform.

Responsibilities

• Administer and operate the Power BI Service environment (capacities, gateways, workspaces)
• Configure and monitor on-premises data gateways for secure access to internal data sources
• Implement governance policies for workspace and permissions
• Support report creators with technical questions and error analysis/resolution
• Monitor capacity, performance, and usage; derive optimization measures
• Collaborate with the BI team and business units to evolve Power BI as a self-service platform

Requirements

• Successfully completed IT training (e.g., Fachinformatiker Systemintegration) or comparable qualification
• First practical experience with Microsoft Power BI, ideally in Power BI Service administration
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft 365 administration and Entra ID
• Understanding of data sources, gateways, and networking fundamentals
• Structured, independent, and solution-oriented way of working; enjoy taking ownership in solving technical challenges
• Regular on-site collaboration in Stuhr near Bremen and appreciation for in-person team exchange
• Mandatory fluent German (at least B2) and good English skills (spoken and written)
