Description

Own and evolve production infrastructure with a focus on reliability and high availability. Lead the migration from Docker Swarm to self-hosted Kubernetes, maintain availability across many servers and services, and drive observability with the development team. Establish strong IaC practices and reliable CI/CD pipelines while participating in on-call and leading incident remediation.

Responsibilities

• Evolve production infrastructure

• Lead Docker Swarm to Kubernetes migration (on premises)

• Maintain high availability across hundreds of servers and ~50 services

• Drive observability with development teams

• Establish and enforce Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and strengthen CI/CD pipeline reliability

• Participate in on-call rotation

• Respond to infrastructure incidents, lead resolution, run post-mortems, and drive systematic remediation

• Build platform tooling to reduce infrastructure toil and improve developer experience

• Own infrastructure together with backend engineers

Requirements

• Built and operated highly available infrastructure at scale (hundreds of servers, dozens of services, real production load)

• Hands-on Kubernetes experience in self-hosted / bare-metal environments

• Confident with Infrastructure as Code

• Proactive problem detection and clear team communication

• Scripting and development skills

Nice to have

• Led at least one major infrastructure migration (plan, execute, stabilize)

• Python and/or Go familiarity (backend is Python, edge services in Go)

• Exposure to proxy and networking-heavy infrastructure

• Experience in a small team with shared infrastructure responsibility

• Familiarity with edge clusters or split compute/edge architectures
