Description

Own and map the overall domain capabilities and guide business and IT teams to design and develop new business models and IT systems aligned with defined standards and frameworks. Translate business needs into fit-for-purpose solutions and set the domain architectural roadmap to support modernization and digitization. Influence stakeholders at multiple levels and ensure governance, standards, and consistent architecture changes within the domain.

Responsibilities

• Understand business vision, strategy, and roadmaps for the responsible domain

• Optimize and steer the domain IT landscape by defining and managing changes to the overall IT architecture

• Create and maintain the domain strategy linked to capabilities and business objectives

• Evaluate options, identify long-term goals and patterns, and contribute to the IS strategic plan

• Document and own the domain capability model using ArchiMate in BizzDesign

• Visualize capabilities and interdependencies; link capabilities to applications, data, infrastructure, and business processes

• Map end-to-end business processes (roles, systems, data, and metrics)

• Identify process inefficiencies and improvement opportunities; maintain and evolve models

• Develop multi-year architectural roadmaps balancing legacy modernization with capability evolution

• Map dependencies across initiatives and coordinate with other domains

• Communicate roadmap trade-offs clearly and ensure alignment with domain and company objectives

• Create and maintain IS architectural standards and principles; steer documentation and update the system of reference

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree (preferably IT-related) or equivalent with 10–15 years of experience

• Knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle; ideally an IT development background

• Enterprise Architect or Domain Architect experience in a large organization with complex IT

• Experience in complex multi-country or multi-business environments

• Ability to balance strategic architectural intent with practical delivery needs

• Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders and drive architectural decisions
