  • Lead architecture and code reviews; identify technical risks and manage technical debt

  • Design for resilience, security, observability, and continuity, considering regulatory requirements (NIS2/KSC, GDPR/RODO)

  • Domain-Driven Design and domain decomposition into services

  • Knowledge of distributed systems fundamentals and data consistency design

  • Experience with synchronous and asynchronous communication: REST, gRPC, API-first, message brokers and streaming platforms (Apache Kafka, RabbitMQ or equivalent)

  • Experience designing fault-tolerant systems

  • Practical knowledge of containerization and orchestration

  • Observability expertise: OpenTelemetry, distributed tracing, metrics and logs

  • Ability to design security at the architecture level

  • Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD, and GitOps

  • Knowledge of relational and non-relational databases

  • Ability to analyze non-functional requirements

  • Strong architecture documentation skills using C4, ADR, and UML

  • Excellent knowledge of at least one backend language/ecosystem: Java or C#/.NET
