Description

The SAP S/4HANA Quality Management (QM) Functional Engineer supports, optimizes, and continuously improves SAP QM processes within the AMS operating model. The role translates business needs into functional solutions, resolves functional issues, supports change requests, and ensures stable integration of SAP QM with manufacturing and logistics processes. You will work with stakeholders and cross-functional SAP teams to keep solutions reliable, compliant, scalable, and aligned with the global template.

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain functional specifications for SAP QM processes and S/4HANA enhancements
• Translate quality management requirements into SAP QM functional designs, user stories, and IT solutions
• Support core SAP QM processes: inspection planning, inspection lot processing, results recording, defect recording, usage decision, and quality notifications
• Analyze and resolve SAP QM incidents, service requests, and functional issues per AMS governance
• Support SAP QM integration with MM, PP, EWM, MES/SAP DM, batch management, and production execution
• Collaborate with ABAP developers and integration teams for enhancements, interfaces, reports, forms, and workflow-related changes
• Conduct UAT, regression testing, and solution validation with business users
• Support change requests end-to-end: impact analysis, design, build, test, and deployment
• Maintain functional documentation, process descriptions, configuration rationale, and support knowledge articles
• Provide guidance and training to business users and key users on new/changed QM functionalities
• Act as a trusted advisor for Product Owners, Service Owners, and business stakeholders in the SAP QM domain
• Identify improvement opportunities in SAP QM processes and support/application lifecycle management
• Collaborate with external vendors to ensure timely and high-quality SAP QM changes and support
• Work in cross-functional teams to ensure end-to-end process consistency across Quality, Manufacturing, Logistics, and Supply Chain

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business Information Systems, or related field
• Strong functional experience with SAP QM, preferably SAP S/4HANA
• Good understanding of SAP QM master data and transactional processes (inspection plans, characteristics, inspection lots, results recording, usage decision, quality notifications)
• Experience integrating SAP QM with at least one: MM, PP, EWM, MES, SAP DM, batch management, or production execution
• Experience with AMS, application support, incident management, change request delivery, or application lifecycle management
• Ability to translate business requirements into functional specifications and system solutions
• Ability to analyze functional issues, identify root causes, and propose sustainable solutions
• Experience working with developers, integration teams, and external vendors
• Experience with UAT, regression testing, and deployment support
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
• Ability to work in a cross-functional and international environment
• Experience working in Agile environments (e.g., Scrum or similar)
• Fluent English (spoken and written)
