Description

You will collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and refine requirements and design scalable Production Planning solutions within SAP ERP/S4HANA. The role includes building integrated, end-to-end architectures across SAP S/4HANA PP and adjacent modules (MM, QM, PM, SD) and third-party systems (MES, APS, LIMS, etc.). You will lead SAP PP (PP, PP-DS) implementation/customization, troubleshoot complex issues, and continuously recommend enhancements based on S/4HANA innovations.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and refine requirements
• Design integrated end-to-end architectures streamlining manufacturing operations and ensuring data/process flow between SAP PP, adjacent SAP modules, and third-party systems
• Promote and enforce industry best practices for long-term operational excellence
• Lead implementation and customization for SAP Production Planning modules (PP, PP-DS)
• Oversee the full project lifecycle: conceptual design/blueprinting, configuration, SIT/UAT, cutover, hypercare, and stabilization
• Conduct workshops, training, and knowledge-transfer for end-user adoption
• Troubleshoot complex functional and integration issues (MRP/MRP Live, capacity planning, shop floor execution, BOM/routing consistency, MES or APO/PP-DS integration)
• Evaluate and recommend system enhancements aligned with S/4HANA innovations (e.g., MRP Live, embedded PP-DS, predictive MRP)
• Collaborate with technical teams: provide functional specifications, participate in ABAP debugging, and validate integration developments (IDocs, BAPIs, APIs)

Requirements

• Minimum 10 years of experience as an SAP Consultant or Business Solution Architect focused on SAP ERP/S4HANA Production Planning
• Proven leadership in at least 2 greenfield implementations as a PP Team Lead or Business Solution Architect (at least one on S/4HANA)
• Expert knowledge of SAP PP: MRP/MRP Live, BOMs, routings, work centers, production orders, planning strategies, capacity planning, and integration with MM, QM, SD, PM
• Solid ABAP debugging experience and integration technologies (IDocs, RFC, APIs; MES or APS integration is a plus)
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with excellent communication and stakeholder management
• English proficiency: B2+ level written and spoken
• Relevant SAP ECC/S/4HANA Production Planning certifications and PP-DS certification
