Description

You will implement and further develop the company’s security architecture together with the IT team. The role covers monitoring, evaluation, and continuous improvement of existing security measures, regular security updates, and coordination of vulnerability analyses. You will also evaluate and roll out new security solutions (including tool selection, proof-of-concepts, and documentation) and maintain the IT security concept aligned with NIS2 and BSI Grundschutz.

Responsibilities

• Implement and develop the security architecture

• Monitor, assess, and continuously improve security measures

• Apply security-relevant updates and coordinate vulnerability analyses

• Evaluate and implement new security solutions; select tools, run POCs, introduce and document systems

• Maintain and evolve the IT security concept and define technical/organizational measures aligned with NIS2 and BSI Grundschutz

• Create, update, and maintain IT security instructions and policies in coordination with the Information Security Officer

• Act as a point of contact for security topics and support business units in security-related decisions

• Build and maintain processes for detecting and handling security incidents; collaborate with external service providers and authorities

Requirements

• Completed degree in Computer Science, IT Security, or comparable qualification

• Several years of experience in IT security and IT infrastructure

• Knowledge of network and system security, endpoint security/EDR, SIEM/log management, Identity & Access Management, cloud security (Azure, M365), and vulnerability management (preferred)

• Experience with regulatory requirements such as NIS2, ISO 27001, and BSI Grundschutz

• Ability to communicate complex technical topics clearly

• Structured, independent working style and strong problem-solving skills
