Description

You will join the IT Infrastructure team and work on challenging customer projects in the network and security domain, onsite and remote. The role covers operating, maintaining, and improving firewall systems, configuring and administering switches and access points, and supporting Windows Server environments and LAN/WLAN/WAN structures. You will also contribute to building Azure networks (vNETs, gateways, connections), handle customer requests independently, perform basic M365 tenant administration, and keep network plans and technical documentation up to date (e.g., with Visio).

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain, and further develop firewall systems (e.g., Fortinet, Sophos, Cisco Meraki, SonicWall)

• Configure and administer switches and access points (Cisco, Aruba, Unifi, Meraki, Fortinet)

• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot Windows Server environments and LAN/WLAN/WAN network structures

• Support the build-out of Azure networking (vNETs, gateways, connectivity)

• Independently process complex customer inquiries

• Perform basic administration of M365 tenants

• Maintain network diagrams and technical documents in a structured way (e.g., Visio)

Requirements

• Completed IT studies or IT training (e.g., IT specialist for system integration)

• Several years of networking experience

• Project management experience with ability to multitask and prioritize

• Strong knowledge of vendor firewall, switching, and WLAN solutions

• Experience with public and private cloud

• Very good German and English skills in speaking and writing

• Ability to work in a team; assertiveness and strong communication

• 5+ years of network architecture experience (desirable)
