Description

You will operate, configure, and continuously improve the company’s network and security architecture across LAN, WAN, WLAN, VPN, and related systems. You will plan, implement, and administer network infrastructure and contribute to concepts such as SD-WAN and SASE. The position also includes high-availability operations, vulnerability and security checks, incident management, and ongoing monitoring, optimization, logging, and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Operate and configure firewalls, routers, switches, and other security systems; continuously evolve the network and security architecture
• Plan, implement, and administer network infrastructure (LAN, WAN, WLAN, VPN) and develop SD-WAN/SASE concepts
• Ensure a highly available and resilient network and security infrastructure
• Perform vulnerability analyses and security checks and derive measures to improve IT security
• Lead incident management for network and IT security, including durable root-cause analysis and fixes
• Monitor, analyze, and optimize network performance; manage monitoring/logging systems and document IT infrastructure and security processes

Requirements

• Completed degree or training in Computer Science, IT Security, or comparable qualification
• Multi-year experience in network and security administration
• Solid knowledge of TCP/IP, routing, switching, VLAN, and VPN
• Knowledge of modern network architectures, ideally SD-WAN
• Experience operating highly available network and security environments
• Experience with firewall and security solutions (e.g., Fortinet)
• Knowledge of Windows and/or Linux server environments and common IT security standards (ISO 27001, BSI Grundschutz)
