Description

You will manage and support your own set of customer environments (SMB & mid-sized companies), providing guidance on modern, future-proof IT architectures. The role includes planning, implementing, and continuously improving IT solutions and projects, as well as installing, configuring, and automating complex IT setups. You will handle migrations and modernization initiatives and resolve tickets with analysis, changes, and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• End-to-end support for your customer landscape (SMB & mid-sized businesses)

• Consult customers on modern, future-ready IT architectures

• Plan, implement, and further develop IT solutions and IT projects

• Install, configure, and automate complex IT environments

• Perform migrations, modernization, and renewal projects

• Process tickets including analysis, change handling, and troubleshooting

• Ensure quality, transparency, and accurate documentation

• Work closely with colleagues, customers, vendors, and partners

• Actively transfer knowledge within the team

• Implement solutions independently from idea to go-live

Requirements

• Completed IT training (e.g., IT specialist for system integration) or equivalent qualification

• Several years of experience as a System Engineer (ideally in IT services or data center operations)

• Hands-on Windows Server infrastructure knowledge (Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, file services)

• Experience with virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V, or Proxmox)

• Experience with server, storage, and backup solutions (e.g., HPE, Dell, NetApp, Pure Storage, Veeam Backup & Replication)

• Knowledge of network and security, especially firewalling (FortiGate, Sophos, pfSense)

• Knowledge of switching and WLAN (Cisco, HPE Aruba, UniFi)

• Microsoft 365 experience (introduction, migration, operation)

• Basic project management knowledge and experience planning and implementing IT projects

• Structured and self-organized working approach with high responsibility

• Strong communication skills, team spirit, and enjoyment working with customers and partners

• High willingness to learn and motivation to quickly onboard new technologies

• Very good German language skills (written and spoken)
