Description

You will support the high-availability operation of a nationwide network (LAN, WAN, and data center connectivity), ensuring reliable and secure Cisco-based services. The position focuses on administering and optimizing Cisco Nexus and Catalyst environments, operating a Cisco NAC solution, and driving performance and capacity planning. You will also maintain technical documentation and work with adjacent IT teams while meeting compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Ensure high-availability operation of the nationwide network (LAN, WAN, data center coupling)

• Administer and optimize Cisco Nexus and Cisco Catalyst environments for reliable and secure operation

• Operate the Cisco-based NAC solution in company data centers

• Perform performance analyses and capacity planning to continuously improve network architecture and service levels

• Maintain technical documentation (network diagrams, configurations, standard operating procedures)

• Contribute to introducing and shaping modern network technologies

• Implement compliance requirements in day-to-day operations

• Collaborate with neighboring IT teams on operations and projects

Requirements

• Completed IT-oriented or comparable technical training/education

• Longstanding experience with LAN, WAN, WLAN and providing complex network services

• Several years of practical experience administering Cisco enterprise networks

• Secure knowledge of Cisco NX-OS, Cisco IOS, and Cisco ISE

• Solid knowledge of network architecture and design

• Ability to analyze network logs and traces

• First experience with automation of network infrastructure

• Ongoing awareness of new technologies and future-oriented thinking

• Structured, independent work style and enjoyment working in a committed team

• Advantage: experience in a regulated environment

• German language skills at C2 level (verbal and written)
