Role Description

Own product strategy and drive end-to-end execution across engineering, design, security, and partner teams to strengthen Azure Bastion and expand secure access value. Combine technical depth, customer insight, and business judgment to resolve complex problems and deliver measurable outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Define a multi-quarter vision and roadmap for Azure Bastion; strengthen the core VM access experience and evaluate expansion to additional workload types
• Own the strategy for seamless RDP and SSH experiences across Windows and Linux workloads, including authentication, client and session workflows, and troubleshooting
• Drive enterprise, hybrid, and multi-cloud strategy covering identity, governance, connectivity, and operational requirements
• Build strategy and sequencing: select scenarios, integrations, and access capabilities; balance demand, security value, business opportunity, engineering effort, and service costs
• Own and prioritize the end-to-end product backlog; translate ambiguous problems into requirements, success measures, and shippable increments
• Partner on security, governance, and trust capabilities (least-privilege access, private connectivity, session auditing, and enterprise policy integration)
• Serve as the voice of administrators, developers, security, and enterprise platform owners; lead discovery and feedback loops
• Orchestrate cross-team alignment across engineering, design, Azure Networking, Compute, Microsoft Entra, and other partner teams
• Define and track success via adoption, connection success rates, session performance, reliability, customer satisfaction, and cost efficiency
• Support adoption and business growth with positioning, packaging, pricing recommendations, and customer enablement

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree AND 8+ years experience in product/service/program management or software development (or equivalent experience)
• Meet applicable Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements
• Pass Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter
