Description

Lead key security initiatives for the M365 platform, driving secure-by-default capabilities across partners and developers. You will prioritize security risks, operationalize mitigations to closure, and translate lessons learned into durable engineering improvements. The role also emphasizes using AI and agentic workflows to proactively identify, investigate, and mitigate emerging threats.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement secure-by-default features and systems across a partner and developer ecosystem.
• Engage partner teams to understand and prioritize security risks; drive actionable mitigation plans through closure.
• Scale protections across cloud environments and operationalize “start-green, stay-green” practices to prevent recurring risk.
• Detect, investigate, and mitigate security threats; conduct post-incident reviews and drive corrective actions to closure.
• Work with architects to convert lessons learned into durable engineering improvements.
• Use AI and agentic workflows to imagine, design, and execute a dynamic roadmap for emerging threats and attack vectors.
• Shape strategy and vision, produce product/technical whitepapers, and present recommendations to executive leadership.
• Define objectives, key results (OKRs), KPIs, and SLAs to measure security investment impact.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree AND 5+ years experience in product/service/program management or software development (or equivalent experience).
• Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements, including passing the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Benefits

• Typical U.S. base pay range: USD $119,800–$234,700 per year; different ranges apply for San Francisco Bay Area and New York City metro.
