Description

Lead the architecture and technology direction for modern, containerized SIGINT systems operating in backend, fog, or edge environments. Evaluate concepts for distributed, connected, and virtualized systems, and select Kubernetes-based cloud platforms for SIGINT data processing and analysis. Perform technology trend analysis across cloud-native technologies, edge computing, and containerized payloads while supporting customers and standardization efforts.

Responsibilities

• Develop and assess architectural concepts for containerized SIGINT systems for backend, fog, and edge operations

• Develop and evaluate distributed, networked, and virtualized system concepts

• Evaluate and select suitable cloud platforms (e.g., Kubernetes-based systems) for SIGINT data processing and analysis

• Analyze technology trends in cloud-native technologies, edge computing, and containerized payloads for SIGINT applications

• Collaborate with industry partners, associations, and ministries

• Contribute to standardization working groups at national and international levels

• Derive system requirements impacting partner and supplier products

• Provide technological support in customer workshops and meetings and advise customers and partners

• Work closely with internal project teams in a matrix organization

Requirements

• Completed degree in Electrical Engineering with a focus on Technical Computer Science, Business IT/Information Systems, or comparable qualification

• Deep understanding of the security sector at national and international levels

• Strong communication and presentation skills for explaining complex technologies and solutions

• Knowledge of containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Podman) and orchestration with Kubernetes

• Understanding of Software Defined Defence principles and their application in distributed, resilient SIGINT systems; initial experience from customer projects is beneficial

• Fluent German and English in speech and writing

• Willingness for business travel (up to 25%)
