Openshift Technical Lead

For our client operating in the renewable energy industry, we are looking for an OpenShift Technical Lead to work on shaping, delivering, and continuously improving cloud and edge platform architectures. You will provide technical leadership across Red Hat OpenShift, Kubernetes, containers, Linux, networking, storage, software architecture, and security. Working with engineering, security, operations, and application teams, you will turn business requirements into resilient, scalable, secure, and supportable platform solutions.Work mode- 100% remoteJob Responsibilities - Lead the design and evolution of cloud, hybrid-cloud, and edge architectures aligned with business, operational, and technical requirements.- Define platform principles, reference architectures, engineering standards, and technology roadmaps for enterprise and distributed environments.- Own the architecture, implementation, lifecycle management, and optimization of container platforms based on Kubernetes and Red Hat OpenShift.- Establish standards for Linux operating systems, automation, configuration, patching, hardening, and operational support.- Design and guide software-defined networking, connectivity, ingress, load-balancing, and network-security solutions.- Define storage architectures and integration patterns that address availability, performance, scalability, backup, and recovery requirements.- Review software and infrastructure designs to improve scalability, maintainability, reliability, observability, and supportability.- Embed security, compliance, and risk-management requirements throughout the platform lifecycle.- Partner with engineering, security, operations, and application teams to accelerate platform adoption and continuous improvement.- Lead the diagnosis and resolution of complex platform issues, including root-cause analysis and preventive actions.- Mentor engineers, facilitate technical decision-making, and promote consistent engineering practices across teams.Expectations- Demonstrated experience designing and delivering cloud, hybrid-cloud, or edge platform architectures.- Deep knowledge of Linux administration, troubleshooting, performance, and security hardening.- Hands-on expertise with containers, Kubernetes, and Red Hat OpenShift in production environments.- Strong understanding of software-defined networking, network segmentation, traffic management, and platform connectivity.- Experience designing and integrating enterprise storage solutions for containerized workloads.- Proven capability in software architecture, infrastructure design, automation, and platform engineering.- Strong knowledge of security standards, compliance controls, identity and access management, and secure engineering practices.- Ability to lead technical discussions, evaluate trade-offs, document decisions, and influence stakeholders.- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.- Familiarity with delivering platforms in large-scale enterprise, industrial, or operational-technology environments is a plus.- Exposure to hybrid-cloud, disconnected, and geographically distributed edge deployments is a plus.- Experience working in regulated, safety-critical, or security-sensitive environments is a plus.- Relevant certifications in Red Hat OpenShift, Kubernetes, Linux, cloud architecture, or security are a plus.We Offer Ongoing support from a dedicated agent, taking care of your project continuity, client contact, necessary formalities, work comfort and development, Consultant Development Program – advice on growth planning based on the latest trends and market needs in IT, including consultations with agents and growth mentors, Access to 7N Learning & Development – a development and educational platform with webinars, a library of articles and industry reports, and regular invitations to one-time and recurring development events – technical, business, and lifestyle, Spectacular integration events, both for you (e.g., annual Kick-Off trip, Christmas parties, or Summer Olympics sports events) and for your loved ones (e.g., family picnics, movie premieres), Professional development not only during the project – you can get involved in knowledge transfer to others within the 7N Services offering directed at 7N clients, Relationships and access to the knowledge of the most experienced IT experts in the market – the average professional tenure of our consultants in Poland is over 10 years, A complete benefits package, including funding for medical care, life insurance, sports cards for you and your loved ones, as well as discounts in stores in Poland and abroad.
