Medior Full-Stack Developer

• Role: Medior Full-Stack Developer (AI-first team)

• Availability: ~20 hours/week (option to grow to full-time)

• Focus: Video Relay Service and Video Remote Interpreting platform for Deaf users

Description

You will take ownership of a part of an AI-first platform that enables Deaf people to access sign language interpreters and communicate with institutions, doctors, banks, and friends. The role includes building and shipping new functionality end-to-end, reviewing AI-generated code with critical thinking, and helping prepare and deploy new country instances. Responsibility grows with experience, including standing in for the CTO during emergencies when needed.

Responsibilities

• Work with AI on every piece of functionality, from draft to release

• Build across the stack: Python/Django/Celery backend; Vue/Nuxt web; Next.js admin dashboard; React Native mobile; Node socket server

• Support video/phone calling capabilities using LiveKit, Twilio, and Asterisk

• Manage data and caching with PostgreSQL and Redis

• Use Docker Compose on cloud servers and GitLab CI for delivery workflows

• Prepare and deploy new country instances

• Review AI-generated code critically and help improve AI-first processes

• Write and maintain automated tests

Requirements

• AI-first way of working with real technical background and the judgment to identify good vs. bad code

• Critical thinking to keep the platform stable and secure when AI is generating most code

• Growth mindset and responsibility for delivering outcomes independently

• English proficiency (written and spoken)

• Ability to own tasks from start to production delivery (the CTO will teach gaps in experience)
